XML Sitemap

An XML sitemap is a file listing your important URLs to help search engines discover and crawl them.

An XML sitemap lists the URLs you want crawled, with optional metadata like last-modified dates. It helps search engines find pages, especially on large sites or sites with weak internal linking.

Example

A new site submits its XML sitemap in Google Search Console to speed up discovery of its pages.
