About the client
Flexidao builds software that lets large organisations trace where their electricity comes from, hour by hour, and report on it credibly. Its buyers sit in four distinct teams: energy procurement, energy management, sustainability and audit. Each one searches for something different, and only one of them is looking for software.

Challenge
Flexidao had a well built product site and a serious content library sitting on a foundation that search engines struggled with. The first audit found slow loading pages, redirect chains, 4xx errors, pages with too little text to be useful, and metadata problems running across the majority of the site. Only 85 pages were indexed by Google.
The blog was the clearest example. It lived on a /post/ subdirectory that had been superseded by /resources/, so two versions of the same library existed and neither held the full authority.
There was a commercial problem underneath the technical one. Two thirds of search clicks were people already typing the company name. The site was good at being found by those who knew Flexidao and poor at being found by those who did not.
“ Mamba is undoubtedly one of the top agencies to work with in this space. We found them to be highly organized, friendly, and incredibly helpful. ”

[SOLUTION]
Solution
01 || Clear the backlog, category by category. || 492 missing image alt texts, 97 title tag issues, 91 duplicate and multiple H1s, 31 internal links pointing at 4xx or 3xx responses, plus sitemap and duplicate content faults. Eight of the nine issue categories were fully closed.
02 || Consolidate the blog without losing authority. || Every /post/ URL was mapped to its /resources/ counterpart and 301 redirected, then rechecked, so the library sat in one place with its accumulated link equity intact.
03 || Write for all four buying teams, not one. || We mapped the vocabulary each team uses and built the explainer pages behind it: RE100 requirements, energy attribute certificates, EAC versus REC, and electricity data management, each routing into the relevant product page.

Results
Search impressions grew from 16,829 a month to 44,299 across the first eight months of reporting, a rise of 163%, with a peak of 49,830. Google indexed 29% more of the site, from 85 pages to 110, and referring backlinks rose 27% from 817 to 1,040.
The number that matters most is the non-branded one. Clicks from people who were not searching for Flexidao by name rose from 230 a month to a peak of 501, and the branded share of search traffic fell from 66% to roughly half. The site started being found by buyers who did not already know the company.
Total clicks finished the period lower than they started, at 560 against 677, because branded search declined over the same window. That is worth stating plainly: the category grew more competitive, and the growth we delivered was in the demand that was not already there.
Looking ahead
The foundation outlasted the engagement. The library sits in one place, the metadata is correct, the images are described, and the pages exist for the questions each buying team asks.
That is the part worth keeping in mind about technical work. It does not expire when the retainer does, and it is the reason a site can keep compounding afterwards rather than starting over.
Performance figures are from Google Search Console and GA4 as recorded in the client reporting tracker, covering the first eight months of reporting. Issue counts are from our site audits of March 2024 and January 2025.
