- Rubic is a cross-chain swap platform that routes crypto trades across multiple blockchains.
- Organic traffic grew from 3,700 monthly sessions to 5,916 by March 2025, a rise of 60%.
- Monthly organic traffic value grew 186%, nearly three times faster than traffic itself.
- The engagement started with a full technical rebuild: URL structure, metadata, sitemaps, orphan pages and OpenGraph.
- In May 2025 the programme extended into AI search, tracking visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot.
About the client
Rubic lets users swap crypto across different blockchains without moving between platforms. Its users are comparing routes, fees and supported chains, often mid-transaction, which makes search behaviour unusually specific and unusually impatient.

[CLIENT FACTS]
Challenge
The site had real audience and real technical debt underneath it. The opening audit covered URL structure, duplicate title tags, missing meta tags, orphan pages, absent image alt text, OpenGraph codes and a sitemap that needed moving to XML. None of that is glamorous and all of it was capping what the content could achieve.
The category adds its own difficulty. Crypto search volume rises and falls with the market rather than with anything a site does, so a programme has to be judged on share of a moving market, not on a straight traffic line.
[SOLUTION]
Solution
01 || Clear the technical debt first, on a weekly schedule. || URL structure, meta tags, duplicate titles, header structure, XML sitemaps, orphan pages, image alt text and OpenGraph were worked through week by week with ownership split explicitly between Mamba, the front end team and the dev team.
02 || Build for how swap users actually search. || Content and product pages were optimised around chain, token and route specific queries, the terms users type when they already know what they want to move and are choosing where to do it.
03 || Move into AI search before most of the category did. || From May 2025 the programme added a generative engine framework covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, tracking query mentions and referral traffic as first class metrics rather than curiosities.

Results
Organic traffic grew from 3,700 monthly sessions in January 2024 to 5,916 by March 2025, a gain of 60%. Measured from the July 2024 low, the gain was 75%.
Monthly organic traffic value grew from $1,050 to $3,002 in equivalent paid search spend, a rise of 186%. Value growing three times faster than volume is the number worth reading here. It means the site moved up on the expensive, high intent swap and bridge terms rather than collecting general crypto reading traffic.
Looking ahead
Crypto search demand moves with the market, and traffic has come down from the March 2025 peak along with it. That is the honest context for any search programme in this category, and it is exactly why the AI search work started early.
When a user asks an assistant how to bridge a token between two chains, the answer either names Rubic or it does not, and that question gets asked whatever the market is doing.
Figures are Ahrefs estimated organic traffic and traffic value for rubic.exchange including subdomains, measured October 2026. Audit scope is from the project technical tracker.
